MPI Chairman Launches New Book

Beyond the widely publicized news of war, poverty, and human rights violations is the uplifting awakening of concern for our fellow human beings as nations are calling for a new global ethic to make the world a better place...An awakening of concern about how we human beings treat one another on the planet is taking place. This has tremendous possibilities for moving the world forward to a new era of peace. In fact, this new awareness of a global conscience is the great untold story of our time ... A new caring for the wholeness of life is being defined.

This is the message of Global Conscience, the latest book by the Hon. Douglas Roche, O.C., Chairman of the Middle Powers Initiative. The book-- the 19th penned by the esteemed senator, diplomat and activist-- was launched at successive events in Toronto, at the United Nations in New York and in Ottawa. In Toronto, the launch was held at Novalis headquarters, Senator Roche’s publisher, on October 3.
